Metagene - data-base for the diagnostic support of innate metabolic illnesses
1996 Hermann Götz and his company tdb were hired for the cooperation at the medical research project "MEDWIS IV". The project had been started two years before by another company with Oracle. They failed because of the incapability of representation of probability relations, the whole project stucked. After only 12 months tdb presented their first version of the database on the metabolic congress in Vienna. This version could already be used in practice by laboratories. Since September 2005 the database "Metagene" is been sold by a publishing house. Besides this it is available for hospitals and established child physicians.
